Speakers:
Christophe Gence-Creux joined the European Union Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators as the Head of the Electricity Department, in February 2011. He is responsible for the Agency’s electricity activities regarding network codes, system operation, grid connection market monitoring and enforcement.
Christophe holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Toulouse, where he used to teach Economics and Regulation. After a post-Doctorat at the Laval University in Quebec, where he continued his research on the Economic Regulation of network infrastructure industries, Christophe worked as a consultant for the World Bank for the promotion of public-private partnerships in the financing of network infrastructures in the North-African and Middle-Eastern countries (MEDA) region.
From 2003 to 2011, he worked for the French Energy Regulatory Authority, CRE, where he was in charge of the market integration process with neighbouring countries, the well-functioning of the French balancing market and its opening-up to cross-border balancing trade and to the participation of demand-side response.
Nico Schoutteet is a senior advisor at the Belgian national regulatory authority CREG. He has over a decade experience in regulating market coupling and integration projects, from a national and international perspective. His work focuses on cross-border electricity trade, from the long-term to the short-term timeframe and the monitoring of (cross-zonal) electricity markets. He is an active member in the community of regulatory authorities responsible for the regulation of short-term electricity markets, a role in which he has closely cooperated with different European NEMO's and the All NEMO Committee.
Cosimo Campidoglio serves as the NEMO Market Coupling Chair, overseeing NEMO-specific affairs, including those related to the Single Day-Ahead Coupling (SDAC) and Single Intra-Day Coupling (SIDC). He’s Head of Market Monitoring, Analysis and Statistics at GME, the Italian Energy Exchange, representing GME in many EU fora related to coupling projects.
CACM ANNUAL REPORT 2025- KEY INSIGHTS
Chiara Vitelli is co-leader of the NC Technical Task Force since April 2024. Since 2019 she is an active member of several NEMOs groups, as part of the European energy markets coupling project. PhD in Physics, she worked in the field of energy regulation at the Italian Regulatory Authority, she has experience as Market Analyst in the market surveillance and monitoring field at GME and she currently works in the Market Department at GME as a Market Development Specialist.
Dr. Christoforos Zoumas joined the former Greek System Operator, DESMIE, in 2007. In 2014, he was appointed Director of Day-Ahead Market Operation at the former LAGIE S.A. and since August 2018, he holds the position of Director of Markets Operation at the Hellenic Energy Exchange S.A. Currently he is also serving HEnEx as Chief Operating Officer.
During the past seventeen years, he has been actively involved in key development projects for the Greek wholesale electricity market focusing on market design, regulatory framework but also on the development of trading systems, market operation procedures, clearing and settlement systems. During the last six years he worked intensively on building up the power and gas markets of HEnEx and for their integration in the regional and EU Day-ahead and Intraday market coupling projects. Dr. Zoumas has been elected co-chair of the NEMO Technical Task Force (NC TTF) since April 2023.
Dr. Zoumas is an Electrical and Computers Engineer holding a PhD degree from the Power Systems Lab. Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in power systems analysis and electricity markets.

Speakers:
Jérôme Le Page is a Board member and Chair of the Electricity Committee at Energy Traders Europe. With 15 years of experience in the energy field, Mr. Le Page coordinates the advocacy initiatives of ETE on wholesale electricity market design at European level. He also oversees the harmonisation of national electricity frameworks across Europe, and the integration of renewable energy and new flexibility sources into the wholesale market. Mr. Le Page has a background in Law and Economics (Paris Sorbonne University & University of Cologne).
Max Schneider is MCCG co-convenor on behalf of market participants through Eurelectric, the European association of the electricity industry. He leads Eurelectric’s advocacy on network codes and market integration and holds a degree in European Affairs from Sciences Po.
Lukas Loser is a Specialist for Balance Group and Scheduling Services at Swissgrid, the Swiss transmission system operator. He holds a Master's degree in Energy Systems and focuses on balancing group management, day-ahead scheduling and electricity market operations. His work includes the analysis and implementation of market design changes, as well as supporting Switzerland's integration into the European electricity market.
Lukas leads parts of the Electricity Agreement project at Swissgrid, with a particular focus on market coupling and NEMO-related topics. Through his work, he contributes to the implementation of efficient, reliable and future-oriented market processes in an evolving European energy landscape
Concluding remarks
Ondrej Máca is Head of the Market development department at OTE, responsible for market integration projects since 2010. Currently, Ondrej represents NEMO community as NEMO ID Steering Committee chair and MCSC Co-chair. In previous years, Ondrej was very active in the extension of SDAC and SIDC to the eastern part of EU and participated in the design of CZ-SK-HU MC and 4M MC. He has both technical and managerial education from Czech Technical University. In his previous career, he worked for Czech Transmission System Operator.
NEMO Committee Representatives:
Rafael Gómez-Elvira GONZÁLEZ is the chair of the NEMO Committee, former NEMO co-Chair in the SDAC Joint Steering Committee. PhD in Industrial Engineering, he has more than 25 years of experience in energy regulation and currently serves the OMI Group as Director for Public Affairs & Marketing.
Yovka Ivanova is the NEMO Committee Reporting and Communication Task Force leader. She has been part of the projects and market integration team of IBEX since early 2020 and has been involved in the projects for integration of IBEX into SDAC and SIDC and various other developments.
